Pilot vs Full Rollout: What's Confirmed for Which Grade and Year

The SY 2027-2028 row is confirmed by the order itself, not merely inferred. DO 017, s. 2026 paragraph 7 and Table 4 set the phasing directly: Grade 11 moves to the Strengthened SHS Curriculum in SY 2026-2027 and Grade 12 follows in SY 2027-2028. The Manila Times reported that DepEd's transition plan allows affected teachers to be reassigned to teach electives, manage work immersion, oversee field experience, or conduct learning remediation based on their existing qualifications, with private schools handling reassignment similarly within their own staffing.

What DepEd's Secretary Has Said

DepEd Secretary Sonny Angara has been quoted, as reported by Manila Bulletin, saying: "The K-12 program is a law – we cannot do anything about it.
