Saint Louise de Marillac College of Sorsogon

Saint Louise de Marillac College of Sorsogon (SLMCS) is a private Catholic school in Sorsogon City that traces its founding to 1937, when Rev. Francisco Reyes, then parish priest of Sorsogon, invited the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul to establish a Catholic school in the province. It operated as Colegio de la Milagrosa before taking its present name in 1998. The school runs a Basic Education Department covering Kindergarten through Junior High School, plus a Senior High School program with Academic and Technical-Vocational-Livelihood strands, and a Higher Education Department. SLMCS is the first Catholic school and, according to the school, the only PAASCU Level II accredited institution in Sorsogon province, with Level II accreditation covering Basic Education, Business Administration, Elementary Education, Liberal Arts, and Secondary Education. The college offers undergraduate courses ranging from Accountancy to English, along with TESDA-approved technical-vocational courses such as Cookery NC II, Tourism Promotion Services NC II, and Events Management Services NC III.
