Faith International Academy

Faith International Academy (FIA) is a Christian, American-curriculum school in Marfori Heights, Davao City, serving expatriate missionary and business families as well as Filipino students, with a student body historically drawing from more than 17 countries. Its roots trace to Faith Academy Manila, founded by missionary parents in 1957; a Davao branch opened in the early 1980s at the request of United Christian Academy, and the present Marfori Heights campus was dedicated in 1987. In 2008 the Davao school merged with Mindanao International Christian Academy to form Faith Academy Mindanao, and in 2014 it became the independently recognized Faith International Academy. FIA offers Elementary (Grades K-5), Middle School (Grades 6-8) and High School (Grades 9-12) on an American-style, college-preparatory curriculum covering Bible, Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Studies, with Filipino and Korean heritage-language programs, weekly chapel, and an outdoor education program. High school athletics include volleyball, basketball and soccer. The school's homepage links identify it with the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and WASC, and it maintains partnerships with Grand Canyon University and Handong University.
