University of the Philippines Baguio

University of the Philippines Baguio (UP Baguio) is a state university and constituent unit of the UP System, established as UP College Baguio on April 22, 1961, on a pine-clad hill on Gov. Pack Road overlooking the city. It was elevated to autonomous constituent university status within the UP System on December 2, 2002. UP Baguio offers undergraduate programs through its College of Science, College of Arts and Communication, and College of Social Sciences, plus graduate programs through its Graduate Program Office; it does not operate a basic education (K-12) school. The university is home to the Cordillera Studies Center, a leading research hub on the Cordillera region, and to Museo Kordilyera, a small museum open to the public. As a state university, undergraduate tuition is free for qualified Filipino students under RA 10931 (the Universal Access to Quality Tertiary Education Act). Admission is through the UP College Admission Test (UPCAT).
