University of Negros Occidental-Recoletos (UNO-R) is a private Catholic university in Bacolod City run by the Order of Augustinian Recollects, founded in 1941 in Talisay as the Occidental Negros Institute (ONI), the first institution of its kind in the city and province. After a wartime closure, it reopened in Bacolod in 1946 offering elementary, high school, and college programs, becoming the University of Negros Occidental in 1957 and taking its present name in 1962 when the Augustinian Recollects assumed administration. UNO-R's Integrated School covers Nursery through Grade 12, alongside undergraduate colleges, the Recoletos de Bacolod Graduate School, and a School of Law. Its Basic Education and Senior High School departments, along with numerous college programs including Accountancy, Civil Engineering, Computer Science, Criminology, Nursing, and Social Work, hold accreditation from the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU). The university's guiding motto is Caritas et Scientia (Charity and Knowledge), and it offers ETEEAP equivalency pathways along with government and non-government scholarships through its scholarship office.

Bad school for working students. Unpractical subsidy, power triping SAs. I don't recommend the school. Please address your SAs attitude. Slowest processing time on anything. Tuition fees is only good for rich people. Better enroll somewhere else
Dumaguete - Bacolod City I took my board exam at this prestigious school on March 17, 2024. Fortunately, I passed the board exam.Thanks for the wonderful experience.
They have worst facilities for senior high, i cant imagine how they allow this school to conduct face to face classes for 50 students in a single non airconditioned room with heat index of 42°. We parents tried to reach out but havent heard back from this school. I have 2 kids enrolled on this school and was about to enroll my 3rd. Looking at how expensive and non responsive they are i feel like i made a mistake putting my kids on this school. Lets wait until something happens UNO R.
UNO-Recoletos has it ALL. They have pre-elem,elementary, high school and college level. The tuition is financially manageable, a discount is offered if you pay for the whole school year. A scholarship is also available among students(better ask the office for more info about this.) The teachers/personnel’s here are nice and friendly.
Definitely one of the best universities not just in town but all over the country. It produces topnotchers. Also, the campus is well-maintained and peaceful. The staffs are friendly too. Blue and Gold 💙💛
