University of Batangas (UB) in Batangas City was founded on April 28, 1946 as Western Philippine Colleges. It is a private, non-sectarian institution offering a full range of levels: a Grade School Department covering Preparatory, Kindergarten and Grades 1 to 6, a Junior High School Department for Grades 7 to 10, a Senior High School offering ABM, HUMSS, STEM and GAS tracks, and college, graduate and law programs across four campuses in Batangas Province. UB's College of Law is regarded as one of the top-performing legal education programs in the CALABARZON region. The university holds PACUCOA accreditation across numerous programs and has been ranked among the institutions with the highest number of PACUCOA-accredited programs nationwide. CHED has designated UB's Electronics Engineering program as a Center of Excellence, and its Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Teacher Education programs as Centers of Development. UB is also ISO 21001:2018 certified. The university's main campus is on Hilltop Road in Batangas City.
