St. Bridget College

St. Bridget College is a private Catholic school in Batangas City founded in 1913 by the Religious of the Good Shepherd, an order whose Motherhouse was in Angers, France. Sisters Mary Constance Phelan and Mary Ligouri Burke arrived in Batangas in October 1912 to establish the school, and it received government recognition as St. Bridget's Academy on June 9, 1913, making it the oldest Catholic school in the Archdiocese of Lipa and the first Philippine school founded by the Good Shepherd Sisters. The school currently enrolls roughly 2,100 students across Preschool, Grade School, and Junior High School, and also operates Senior High School and College departments. Its Kindergarten, Grade School, and Junior High School programs hold Level III accreditation from the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU). The school is guided by the teachings of its foundress, St. Mary Euphrasia Pelletier, and maintains satellite campuses in Alitagtag, Batangas and Quezon City. The main campus is on M.H. del Pilar Street in Batangas City, near the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.
