Sacred Heart School of Malabon

Sacred Heart School of Malabon is a private Catholic school at 18 Mango Road, Potrero, Malabon City, offering Preschool and Elementary education only. According to the school, 'The Sacred Heart School System came into being in 1968 out of the founder's fondness for children,' when Mrs. Maria Rosario Tambunting-Juan purchased a closing preschool and reopened it as Sacred Heart Nursery and Preschool, starting with 30 students, two teachers and a consultant; enrollment grew to 70 by the end of its first year. The school 'adopts a thematic approach of teaching and a knowledge, skill based curriculum, also putting an emphasis on values formation,' and runs an afterschool enrichment program called Galileo Learning Center. Sacred Heart also operates a separate preschool-and-daycare branch in Makati. The Malabon campus does not offer Junior High or Senior High School.
