Rizal Technological University - Main Campus

Rizal Technological University (RTU) is a state university with its main campus on Boni Avenue in Mandaluyong City and a branch campus in Pasig. It traces its founding to July 11, 1969, when it opened as the College of Rizal; it merged with Rizal Technical High School in 1975 to form Rizal Technological Colleges, gained state college status in 1978, and was converted into a university on October 11, 1997 by Republic Act 8365. RTU is organized into the College of Engineering, College of Business, Entrepreneurship and Accountancy, College of Education, College of Arts and Sciences, Institute of Human Kinetics, Institute of Computer Studies and Institute of Architecture, and it also runs a Junior High School (RTU-JHS, formerly its Laboratory High School) on the main campus. As a state university under RA 10931, qualified Filipino undergraduates attend tuition-free. RTU was the first Philippine institution to offer an astronomy degree and hosts the Center for Astronomy Research and Development recognized by the Department of Science and Technology. In 2023 several of its engineering, psychology and political science programs received Certificates of Program Compliance (COPC) from CHED. Enrollment across the university was reported at roughly 26,000 students in Academic Year 2024.
