Philippine Normal University - Manila
Philippine Normal University (PNU) is the Philippines' National Center for Teacher Education, a status conferred by Republic Act 9647 in 2009. It traces its founding to September 1, 1901, when the Philippine Commission established the Philippine Normal School, one of the first institutions of higher learning of the American colonial period. It became Philippine Normal College in 1949 and was elevated to university status in 1991-1992. The main campus sits on Taft Avenue in Ermita, Manila, with branch campuses in Alicia (Isabela), Lopez (Quezon), Cadiz City (Negros Occidental), and Prosperidad (Agusan del Sur). PNU's academic units include the College of Teacher Development, the College of Advanced Studies, the College of Alternative and Lifelong Learning, and the Institute of Creative Expressions and Human Movement Education, offering bachelor's degrees in elementary and secondary education across subject majors, along with graduate programs. As a state university, undergraduate tuition is free for qualified Filipino students under RA 10931, though miscellaneous fees may still apply. PNU maintains an ISO 9001:2015-certified quality management system and is a member of the Accrediting Agency of Chartered Colleges and Universities in the Philippines (AACCUP). Admission to the main campus is through the PNU Admission Test.

★★★★★(5 reviews)Nice and historic campus, the National Center for Teachers' Education
so proud of my alma mater. i've enjoyed my college years in this university way back 1998. really mold me to be a professional teacher. i miss our strict but great professors. and the facilities are very accomodating with a huge school field and lots of trees around it
They repainted and fix some parts of it but we are not yet allowed to explore beyond except the registrar and toilet rooms. The university is open from M-F (9-11AM) ONLY.
Yesterday(friday)those guards said the registrar is open until 5 pm. Yet when I went there at 4:50 pm those guards said that the registar had CUT-OFF long ago. Why I asked why? They said ‘cause it’s Saturday’. Sir. You guys told me it’s open till 5pm. Not really worth 2hr drive. Just update registrars weekly schedule here.
