Notre Dame of Dadiangas University

The school campus is very big, I even get lost a little on their campus if my friends are not by their side. They have a field for soccer and etc. hoping to visit there again.

A private school and religious Catholic school in Marist way. There are lots of different building names, there's also a chapel.

As my alma mater, I could very well say that this is the best university in General Santos City. It does not just offer the best quality education but also good values and manners. Being a Catholic school, it instills religiousity to students. It is a PAASCU level III institution. Students enjoy the additional facilities/amenities it offers such as a carpark, covered walks, school bookstore,solar gadget chargers, kiosks and a lot more. Students with disabilities can freely roam on the ground floor/grounds as wheelchair friendly path and ramps are all over the campus. There are disabled toilets. However, the upper floors are still not wheelchair accessible because they can only be reached by stairs. Great management by the Marist Brothers are seen all over the improvements the university had done through the years. It does well in professional licensure examination.

Being a student at Notre Dame of Dadiangas (NDDU) from 1999 to 2005 was easily the highlight of my childhood. They didn't do the degrading "Section 1" or "Last Section" rankings; instead, every class was named after a Saint, giving every student a sense of dignity from day one. ​The real culture was the Card System. It wasn't about a cutthroat Top 10; it was a healthy competition where everyone could win. If you hit 85% in every subject, you got a Green Card. If you hit 90% in all, you earned the White Card. The stakes peaked at Recognition Day: four straight White Cards meant a Gold Medal, while a four-period combination of Green and White earned you the Green Ribbon. It taught us that your success didn't have to mean someone else’s failure. ​The school was incredibly disciplined and organized. We had color-coded notebooks for every subject and P.E. uniforms that changed colors as you moved up the grades. We even had our own monthly staples like Bato Balani for Science and Salaguinto for Filipino. ​But nothing beat the Feast Days. When your class Saint’s day arrived, you still went to school, but you traded the pens for plates. No classes—just a massive feast and celebration with your classmates. And I’ll never forget the morning ritual: buying fresh flowers along Marist Avenue to offer to Mother Mary before the first bell. It’s a childhood memory that stays with you forever.

I attended this university and fell inlove with Elijah Caling, a smart and attractive student who was the light in my dark life.
