New Era University (NEU) is a private, non-stock, non-profit university on Central Avenue in the New Era district of Quezon City, adjacent to the Iglesia ni Cristo Central Office Complex. It was founded on June 9, 1975 as the New Era Educational Institute, initially offering secondary education to 466 students, and expanded into college programs in 1978. The Iglesia ni Cristo operates the university, with a mission centered on Christian values under the motto "Godliness is the foundation of knowledge." NEU's basic education arm, the Integrated School, offers Preschool and Elementary (Nursery to Grade 6), Junior High School (Grades 7-10) and Senior High School (Grades 11-12) with Academic (GAS, STEM, ABM, HUMSS), Technical-Vocational-Livelihood (ICT and Home Economics) and Arts and Design tracks. At the tertiary level, NEU offers programs including Mass Communication, Civil Engineering, Nursing, Music, Agriculture, Business Administration, Accountancy, Computer Studies, Criminology, a College of Law offering the Juris Doctor, and a College of Medicine. Several programs hold PACUCOA Level IV accreditation, including BSBA, BEEd, BSEd and AB Communication. The university has expanded beyond its Quezon City main campus with satellite campuses in Pampanga, Lipa City and General Santos. In September 2025, NEU was designated a local testing center for the Philippine Bar Examinations.

This school is such a struggle. Right from the start, when they encoded my info, they already messed up my name. So I had to go all the way back just to fix it like seriously, it’s their mistake but I’m the one wasting time fixing it. And of course, that also means gastos for affidavit and name correction, which I still have to pay sa cashier. And here’s the worst part ilang taon na, their portal is still broken. Up to now, their system isn’t automated. You can’t even enroll online! It’s such a hassle going to school just to enroll and fall in line in those super long queues under terrible weather. Every enrollment season feels like a whole battle for me. They really need to fix their system. Like just now, I already saved the subjects I want to enroll in, but when it came to the cashier, they couldn’t read it! So I had to go all the way back to the SOM just to double-check and yes, it *was* saved properly. As I’m typing this, I’m boiling inside because of how messed up their system still is. Please, seriously, improve already.
