National University-Manila is the flagship, Sampaloc campus of National University (NU), founded on August 1, 1900 by Mariano F. Jhocson Sr. as Colegio Filipino — the first private, nonsectarian and coeducational school in the Philippines to use English as its medium of instruction. It became National University in 1921. SM Investments acquired majority ownership in 2008, and the campus has since been rebuilt with new academic buildings after a 1998 fire destroyed four of its original structures. NU Manila houses eight colleges: Allied Health, Architecture, Planning and Sustainable Built Environment, Computing and Information Technologies, Education, Arts and Sciences, Engineering, Tourism and Hospitality Management, Business and Accountancy, and Dentistry. Its basic education arm, NU Nazareth School, offers Nursery through Grade 12, including Senior High School under the ABM, STEM, HUMSS and GAS tracks. NU Manila's programs are accredited by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA).

Releasing of TOR is a disaster and frustrating. They will keep you back and forth just to follow up for the release of TOR and no one is answering thie calls It would be a big impact for the student”s ability to continue their studies and goals.

National University has improved a lot in prestige and reputation as well as the physical facilities since the SM Group took over.

Accounting & the Registrar staff are too slow in processing students, the room was already full of waiting students. They don't answer the phones, I was in queue for 30mins and they never answered. Everything should be online, efficient and automated. No backlog, long lines or red tape.
