Mondriaan Aura College

Mondriaan Aura College is a private college in the former SubCom Area of the Subic Bay Freeport Zone, founded in June 1993 by Dr. Edgar Geniza and a group of pioneering faculty after their previous college lost its leased building following the 1991 Mount Pinatubo eruption. It opened with 14 faculty members and 88 students and is named partly for its Founding Chairperson, Dr. Aurora Geniza. The college does not operate its own senior high school; admission is for college and graduate students who have already completed senior high elsewhere. It offers undergraduate programs in communication, psychology, accountancy, business administration, information technology, computer science, aeronautics (aircraft maintenance technology and aviation electronics technology), computer and electronics engineering, industrial engineering, and teacher education, along with graduate programs in management and a Master of Arts in Teaching. The college has produced national top-ranking board examination placers in Nursing and in the Licensure Examination for Teachers. It offers the Dr. Aurora Gutana-Geniza Socialized Education Program (AGGSEP), which grants 25% to 100% tuition discounts to financially disadvantaged students who pass a competitive screening based on grades, entrance exam scores, and verified economic need.
