Ebenezer Bible College and Seminary

Ebenezer Bible College and Seminary (EBCS) is a private Christian institution in Upper Calarian, Zamboanga City, tracing its roots to 1903, when Rev. and Mrs. David O. Lund founded two day schools, Ebenezer School for Girls and Ebenezer School for Boys. The schools merged into Ebenezer Bible Institute in 1926 under the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA), training Filipino pastors and deaconesses for ministry in southwestern Mindanao, and were renamed Ebenezer Bible College in 1962. The Commission on Higher Education (CHED) granted the school formal recognition in 2002. EBCS runs both a Basic Education Department and a Higher Education Department, offering senior high school and college-level programs, including Bible college, seminary training, and an Early Childhood Education program. The campus includes Frazer Hall (the main academic building), the Baladjay Hall library (about 20,000 volumes), a Convention Center for sports and events, a chapel, dormitories, and a beachfront area. Through its Student Workers' Aid Policy, EBCS offers financially needy full-time students free tuition, free dormitory housing, or cash grants funded by donors and partner organizations, subject to a minimum 2.75 GPA. The school has produced over a thousand graduates who now serve as pastors, missionaries, and educators.
