Ateneo de Iloílo - Santa Maria Catholic School (怡朗亚典耀圣母学校）

Ateneo de Iloilo - Santa Maria Catholic School (AdI-SMCS) is a private, Catholic, Jesuit-run Chinese-Filipino basic education school in Mandurriao, Iloilo City. Its roots go back to 1958, when French Jesuit Fr. Andrew Joliet and Spanish Jesuit Fr. Santiago Leon opened a nine-student parochial school in Iloilo City called Santa Maria Catholic School, serving the local Chinese-Filipino Catholic community. In 2004, the school moved to a 7.5-hectare campus in Pison Avenue, Mandurriao, and was formally reorganized as a Jesuit school under the Philippine Province of the Society of Jesus, becoming the eighth Philippine school to carry the Ateneo name. It is the only Catholic, Jesuit, Chinese-Filipino basic education institution in Western Visayas. AdI-SMCS offers Kindergarten through Grade 12 under the DepEd K-12 curriculum, with Chinese language instruction, Christian Living Education, and Ignatian spirituality woven into the program. The school holds PAASCU Level II accreditation as an integrated basic education institution. Admission includes an entrance assessment, and the school runs its own scholarship and financial aid programs for qualified students.
