Assumption College of Davao

Assumption College of Davao (ACD) is a private Catholic school on J.P. Cabaguio Avenue in Agdao, Davao City. It was founded in 1958 by the Daughters of Mary of the Assumption (F.M.A.), a Canada-based congregation, as the Assumption Academy of Davao, initially an exclusive elementary and high school for girls. In 1989 a group of sisters separated from the F.M.A. to form the Missionaries of the Assumption (M.A.), who took over the school's management; it was renamed Assumption College of Davao in 1998 on its 40th anniversary. ACD now offers Elementary, Junior High School and Senior High School (with HUMSS, STEM, ABM, ICT and Home Economics tracks) plus a College Department with programs in Information Technology, Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Teacher Education and Social Work. It also runs the ACD Lumad Extension School and a Modified Work and Study Program for working students. The college holds PAASCU accreditation and operates the Queen of the Universe building, opened in 2016.
