Centers of Excellence may compress the professional courses, electives, and additional mathematics requirement to a minimum of 48 units instead of 60, provided the knowledge-area outcomes are still met, which brings the floor down to 134 units. And Section 23 of the same memorandum provides that once the revised General Education curriculum under CMO 20, s. 2013 took effect, the 54-unit GE requirement drops to a minimum of 36 units, with the balance of 18 units replaced by professional or domain courses so long as the 146-unit total still holds.
