What is the 2026 PRC board exam schedule?
The 2026 PRC board exam schedule is the licensure examination calendar the Professional Regulation Commission issued as Resolution No. 2113, s. 2025, covering more than eighty examination events across the professions PRC regulates. PRC publishes each year's schedule a year ahead by resolution.
Two things about it get missed constantly. First, the filing deadline matters more than the exam date, and the gap between them is not consistent: Professional Teachers sitting 20 September had to file by 23 July, nearly two months ahead, while Occupational Therapists sitting 4 December can file until 4 November. Second, the published calendar is amended during the year. PRC has already moved sittings and added or removed testing centres for 2026. Both are covered below.

Has PRC changed any 2026 exam dates or testing centres?
PRC amended the 2026 calendar after issuing Resolution No. 2113, s. 2025, rescheduling three sittings and changing testing centres for several exams. This is the part a static calendar cannot tell you, and the reason to check the source page rather than any reproduction of it, including this one.
Sittings moved during 2026:
- Criminologists: the February exam was rescheduled to 8 February in Butuan and Cagayan de Oro.
- Architects: the June exam in Davao was rescheduled to 22-24 June.
- Landscape Architects: moved from 8-9 July to 14-15 July.
Testing centres removed:
- Nurses: Dumaguete and Tagbilaran.
- Electronics Engineers and Electronics Technicians: Pagadian.
- Pharmacists: Legazpi.
- Physical Therapists: Pampanga and Tuguegarao.
- Speech-Language Pathologists: several centres.
Testing centres added:
- Sanitary Engineers: Davao.
- Respiratory Therapists: Cagayan de Oro.
- Criminologists: additional centres in the first offering; Mati and Santiago for the second.
- Professional Teachers: Masbate City and Virac in March; Roxas, Santiago, Balangkayan and Virac in September.
- Environmental Planners: Baguio.
- Ocular Pharmacologists, Optometrists, Naval Architects and Aeronautical Engineers: Cebu.
If your plan depends on sitting in a particular city, confirm that the centre still exists for your exam before you book anything.
How many times a year is each board exam offered?
Under PRC Resolution No. 2113, s. 2025, twenty-four professions were scheduled for two licensure examinations in 2026 and thirty-one for only one. For the once-a-year boards, a missed filing deadline costs a full year.
Offered twice in 2026: Nurses, Professional Teachers, Certified Public Accountants, Physicians, Civil Engineers, Criminologists, Mechanical Engineers, Certified Plant Mechanics, Medical Technologists, Architects, Registered Electrical Engineers, Registered Master Electricians, Pharmacists, Midwives, Master Plumbers, Electronics Engineers, Electronics Technicians, Dentists, Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, Chemical Engineers, Sanitary Engineers and Real Estate Consultants.
Offered once in 2026: Social Workers, Librarians, Geodetic Engineers, Optometrists, Fisheries Professionals, Professional Foresters, Chemists, Chemical Technicians, Metallurgical Engineers, Mining Engineers, Veterinarians, Aeronautical Engineers, Nutritionist-Dietitians, Customs Brokers, Agricultural and Biosystems Engineers, Geologists, Agriculturists, Radiologic Technologists, X-Ray Technologists, Dental Technologists, Dental Hygienists, Guidance Counselors, Psychologists, Psychometricians, Professional Food Technologists, Environmental Planners, Interior Designers, Landscape Architects, Real Estate Brokers, Real Estate Appraisers and Foreign Medical Professionals.
How do you file for a PRC board exam?
Filing for any PRC licensure examination follows the same four steps through the LERIS online portal. Our PRC board exam requirements guide covers the documents in detail, and the initial registration guide covers what happens after you pass.
- Create a LERIS account. Register on the PRC Licensure Examination and Registration Information System, complete your profile and upload the required documents.
- File within the application window. Log in during the published period, submit the application and select your testing centre. Centres in Manila, Cebu and Davao fill first.
- Complete document verification. Present originals at a PRC Regional Office or offsite service centre: PSA birth certificate, transcript of records with special order, certified diploma, ID photos, a valid government ID, and payment of the examination fee.
- Download your Notice of Admission. Print it and bring it. It also tells you what you are allowed to carry into the room.
How should you plan around the PRC exam schedule?
Work backwards from the filing deadline, not the exam date. For several boards the deadline is two months ahead. If you are still waiting on a transcript, that is the constraint that will catch you out.
Check the calculator rules before you buy one. PRC publishes a list of approved models and enforces it at the door. See our PRC-approved calculator guide.
Set your review start date from the exam date. How much lead time you need varies enormously by board. Our board exam passing rates by course gives a sense of which boards historically demand the most.
Do not plan against next year's dates until the resolution exists. PRC issues each year's calendar by resolution, and until it does, any 2027 date you find is somebody's guess. For how PRC publishes and revises the calendar, see our PRC board exam schedule guide.
Re-check the week you book travel. Everything above came from PRC's own published calendar, and PRC changes it. The official page is the only version that is current by definition.
